Marie Mina was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to the United States at age 4. She grew up in a minority community in the suburbs of a large city with limited access to Filipino specific community outside of church gatherings and family friends. After finding community online, she hopes to find more ways to access, connect, and create with the rest of the Filipino diaspora.
